Learning from My Classmates Art Tutorials!

Hi everyone! For this week’s blog, we were asked to follow two of our classmates art tutorials! I enjoyed seeing everyone’s work and was really looking forward to this assignment!

Tutorial #1

The first tutorial I followed was done by one of my classmates named June! Here is the link to their blog: https://junesanalysis.blogspot.com/2026/03/how-to-draw-cute-bunny.html

For this tutorial we are drawing a bunny!

Materials I used:

- Sketchbook

- Pencil

I first began by drawing the ears and the face structure.

Then I drew the body structure. I decided to make this a curly haired bunny by using flowy line work.

I added the facial features like the eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as the tail and details on the ears.

Once I finished my primary sketch, I decided to outline it for a more defined look.

I then added additional details to the fur by using simple line work.

June mentioned to include some cute details to this drawing so I decided to draw these diamonds on the side!

I subtly shaded both the bunny and the diamonds, and even added some extra curvy lining work as an outline!

I am super happy with the final product!

Tutorial #2

The second tutorial was composed by Olivia! Here is their blog: https://studioliviablog.blogspot.com/2026/03/cootie-catcher-art-tutorial.html

We are going to make a cootie catcher!

To be completely honest, I’ve never made one of these in my entire life until now. :)

Materials I used:

- Scissors

- Paper

- Colored Pencils

I began by positioning the paper vertically and folding the bottom left corner.

I then folded the bottom right corner of the paper.

Next, you’re going to cut off the top rectangle of the paper, which will leave you with this triangle.

You will then open up the triangle and be left with a square shape.

Then, you’re going to fold the corners of the paper, where they will essentially meet at the center of the square.

You will do this for all four corners.

Next, you’re going to insert your fingers into the flaps of the paper.

BUT WAIT!

We’re not finished yet…

I decided to color my cootie catcher and draw some super cool designs!

Okay, now we’re done! :)

These tutorials were super fun to do. Most importantly, I enjoyed learning from my classmates!
